2006 Trespass Cabernet Franc
St. Helena, Napa Valley

This wine begins with a clean and deep garnet hue.  From the nose alone one can tell there is excellent purity of fruit from nose to palate.  Rich in volume, aromatics of ripe raspberry, cola and barrel vanillin exude from the glass.  The fruit is firm and full, but not intrusive.

The palate begins with finesse driven flavors of hard cherry candy, cinnamon, sweet black fruit and hints of Christmas spice.  The acid tannin relationship is like the marriage of velvet and silk.

This wine should continue to improve for 6 to 8 years or longer.
