2008 Trespass Cabernet Franc
St. Helena, Napa Valley

The 2008 Trespass Cabernet Franc speaks to me.  The nose on this wine is typical to the vineyard and shows equally as much allure and diversity as its predecessor, the 2007.  There are layers of ripe red berry, fresh black cherry, warm oak vanillin and loads of finesse.  The palate is lifted and delicate with bright acidity and smooth tannin follow through.  It is like a classical dance from Ginger and Fred.  It is all about harmony.

I think that with another 3 or 4 years in the bottle this wine will continue to evolve with further dimension in velvety red fruit and a touch more muscle in the center.  Cellared correctly this wine will can be enjoyed for 8 to 10 years and longer.
