2008 Trespass Cabernet Sauvignon
St. Helena, Napa Valley
The 2008 is beginning its life as one of the most balanced and approachable Cabernets yet to be released from the Trespass cellar. This sophisticated wine is very quick to offer up notes of plums, oak vanillin, cassis and blue fruits in the abundant nose. The palate is graced by silky tannins and a fleshy ripe style. The tannins are ripe and supple, displaying the generosity of fruit found in such a low yielding vintage. Given time this wine grows bolder reaching ever further to savory aromas of cured meats and pan grille.
This is a wine which is very enjoyable now, will continue to improve over the next 6 years and hold easily for another 10.
