2008 Trespass Intrigue
St. Helena, Napa Valley
From our 2008 blending trials we decided to experiment with some “deep time” ageing. Contrary to our typical 22 month ageing regime for Bordeaux reds, we were patient to see what would happen if we stretched that to 30 months on oak?
We are very pleased to introduce the result. This wine shows the silkiness, style and poise from a wine given so much age. This blend gives off a fumy aromatic of plums, dried cherry, currant, and rock candy. The palate is layered with heady black fruit, dried currant, cigar wrapper and a hint of black olive.
The 2008 Intrigue is an estate grown blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot and is delight that has you coming back for more!
