2009 Trespass Cabernet Sauvignon
St. Helena, Napa Valley
Bright cherry, racy raspberry, kirsch liqueur, oak vanillin, clove, cinnamon, spice box… I could go on and on. The 2009 Trespass Cabernet is a thrill to the senses. I could smell this wine for hours but I’m afraid the bottle wouldn’t last that long! The abundance of aroma give way to a warm and supple glide upon the palate consisting of striking red fruit flavors and a superb support of acid and tannin.
As this St. Helena vineyard matures the wines have evolved and improved with each vintage. I think the 2009 will be a wine that shows its best in 1 to 2 years and drink wonderfully to 2024 and beyond.
