2011 Trespass Intrigue
St. Helena, Napa Valley

The 2011 Intrigue is a fine Bordeaux blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon married with 38% Merlot.  This wine is known for its devout approachability.  Already drinking nicely, it starts with a generous wafting of raspberry covered with a smooth milk chocolate and finishing with a creamy vanilla.  This generous wine produces full flavors of kirsch, currant, plum, black cherry and a touch of cedary tannin for spice.  The Merlot possesses the velvety charm to tame the strength and more powerful ego of the Cabernet.

Drinking well right now, this nicely balanced wine should thrive with time and drink well into the future, well past 2022.
