2012 Trespass “Single Barrel” Cabernet Sauvignon

Wow, what a showpiece and victory for Trespass Vineyard! Unfortunately for followers of Trespass, there are only 24 cases to tout of this coveted release.
This collector’s piece begins with a dense bluish and black color. The nose is warm with red rose and beautiful black cherries. The mouth requires some patience to allow the complexities to unfold. Flavors of plum reduction, chocolate espresso bean, oak lactone and vanilla all weave together for a very silky textured Cabernet.
The experience requires a pause and deep breath before returning to the glass. Without a doubt, the finest bottling of Trespass to date. I believe this profound bottling will age exceptionally for 20 to 25 years if cellared correctly.
