2025 Fall Release
Welcome to Fall 2025!
We love this time of year…. crisp mornings, the magical feeling of the sunlight as it filters through the leaves of the vines, and delicious meals with that “perfect” glass of wine. Our estate grapes have all been harvested after a beautiful growing season. We even decided to take a small crop from the new Cabernet and Merlot vines which are on their 4th leaf. We will see how this young vine fruit develops in the cellar and how it may blend in with our more mature fruit. Some of you may remember our “Young Vine Cabernet Franc” from years ago. We like sharing with you how bright the fruit from young vines presents compared to a bottle of wine from the more mature vines. It is all part of the story, and so interesting.
Let us now turn our attention to the release of the last two wines from the 2022 vintage, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Rendezvous. Production overall was lower in 2022 because we had removed over one third of the older vines. But we still had plenty of grapes to create some exciting, age worth wines. We are also offering another library selection, the 2017 Mischief. The grapes for this blend came from the renowned Stagecoach and Sugarloaf vineyards, and it has developed so beautifully. Every now and then we do like to “play” with fruit from other locations.

2022 Trespass RENDEZVOUS – 100 cases produced
The 2022 Rendezvous is an immediate attention grabber. The hold and purposeful conviction of this wine is delightfully infectious. Consistent with its nature, the ’22 release is field blended and barrel fermented. The composition is a marvelous harmony of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with the addition of 3% Petit Verdot made during the final blending session. Gorgeous! The nose is grand and opens with a deep, seductive aromas of ripe blackberry, black currant, and a whisper of cedar. On the palate, it’s structured, layered and dense! The blackberry, velvety core is lush and concentrated, intertwined with dark currants, hints of graphite, and a touch of toasted French oak spice. Its mid-palate delivers a thrilling surge of intensity that is both bold yet refined. What I’m impressed with most in this Bordeaux blend is its impeccable balance between fruit, acid, and fine-grained tannins. The finish is nothing short of gorgeous: long, trailing, and resonant, leaving a lingering echo of dark fruit, tobacco leaf, and subtle vanilla. While today a wine of power, I know it will have an enduring elegance for over a decade to come. Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
2022 Trespass Cabernet Sauvignon – 100 cases produced
This lovely Estate Cabernet opens with a vivid display of red fruit, led by bright cherry, wild raspberry, currants and subtle notes of red fruit preserves. The nose is lifted and pure, showing freshness and clarity without excessive ripeness. On the palate, the wine strikes a compelling balance between power and restraint, offering a core of concentrated red fruit framed by finely woven tannins and a sleek, linear structure, with a touch of savory spice and graphite. A refined, focused expression of Cabernet Sauvignon that shows the variety’s finesse over force. A 5% add of Petit Verdot took this wine to amazing levels. Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
2017 Trespass MISCHIEF – 225 cases produced
This ripe concoctive elixir begins as a gorgeous bouquet on the nose and is just loaded with sweet blackberry, clove, dried cherries and hints of chocolates. The palate is as round as the nose. Sweet oak vanillin greets the palate and flavors dance on the tongue. After five more years of aging since its initial release, the blue fruit notes have really exploded. The soft and lengthy young tannins include spicy black fruit, toffee and caramels. This wine is in its prime, with many years of enjoyment left. Aged for 22 months in 80% new French oak. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
2021 Trespass Tasting Pack
Our tasting packs have become a popular choice, and it is a great way to taste through the vintage at home with family and friends. The 2021 selections will be one bottle each of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Rendezvous, Intrigue and Petite Verlot.
