2026 Spring Release
Welcome Spring 2026!!
The weather has warmed here in the Napa Valley, and we feel like we are back in elementary school watching time-lapse movies of plants growing……that is how fast the grapevines have changed from dormant to several inches of green growth, seeming in a day! Bud break was a little earlier than usual for us, but with the long-range forecast ahead, we think Mother Nature was just anxious to jump into a new vintage.
We are very excited to release the 2023 vintage; it was such a joy to work with this fruit. The growing season was longer than usual, without any extreme weather events, which allowed the fruit to ripen slowly with wonderful flavor development. Harvest at Trespass was in the early morning hours of October 26th and the fruit was at the winery within hours. In very short order we knew this vintage was going to be a special one.

2023 Trespass Estate Cabernet Franc – 125 cases produced
Highly expressive and immediately inviting, this Cabernet Franc announces itself with an almost confectionary lift! There is plum jam and maraschino cherry rising effortlessly from the glass, lush and unabashed. The palate follows with a supple, chewy intensity, tannins unfurling slowly in arcs that gather energy through the mid-palate rather than weighing it down. Beneath the generosity of fruit, a quieter voice emerges: a terroir-etched current of stone, savory herbs, and earth that lends tension and contour, keeping the wine honest and alive. It strides confidently into the ninth inning, unhurried and assured, finishing clean yet resonant, its echoes of fruit and savor lingering long after the glass is set down. Aged in 70% new French Oak for 22 months, bottled unfiltered and
unfined.
2023 Trespass INTRIGUE – 100 cases produced
What explosive, rich purple fruit that vaults from the glass, saturated and vivid, immediately commanding attention. Aromas of crushed concord grape, blackberry compote, and dark plum spill outward with youthful exuberance. The entry is soft and plush, effortlessly coating the palate and delivering instant flavor impact. A broad, driven mouth-filling texture sweeps along the sides of the tongue, gaining momentum as it drives deep through the mid- and back palate with serious reach and intent. Bursting with textured energy and focused verve, the wine carries its richness with confidence, buoyed by freshness that keeps everything lifted and in motion. The finish is long and insistent, flavor hanging on well past a minute, echoing in waves and refusing to let go. Spunky. Bold. Simply great. I believe this Intrigue will age beautifully. A blend of 43% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc. Aged in 50% new French oak for 22 months, bottled unfiltered, unfined.
2023 Trespass MAYHEM – 100 cases produced
Electric from the first pour, Mayhem erupts with high-voltage energy and dark-fruited drive. Big, violety aromatics surge from the glass, layered with blackberry preserve and black plum, underpinned by graphite and finishes with a flash of young rose which lifts through the core. On the palate, the wine grabs your attention instantly. Savory currents of spice, anise, and cured tobacco weave seamlessly through the dense fruit, while a bright, bitter-sweet note of blood orange cuts across the mid-palate. The finish is long and resonant, leaving behind dark fruit and mineral echoes. With plenty of age worthiness, Mayhem can be enjoyed from release to two decades or more! This small blend of 100 cases is comprised of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Cabernet Franc, aged for 22 months in 75% new French Oak. 100% estate bottled, unfiltered and unfined.
2024 Trespass Chardonnay, Sonoma Coast – 55 cases produced
Golden, fragrant and entirely delightful, the source of this Chardonnay hails from two unique Sonoma sites. One from the incredibly cool, breezy and rock-laden West facing sites in appellation’s Petaluma Gap AVA. The other is in the center of the greater appellation’s Green Valley AVA. The wine absolutely beams with finesse from the first pour, offering a luminous expression of coastal purity. On the nose, delicate aromas of Meyer lemon, white peach, and crushed seashell set the tone, accented by a subtle floral lift. The veins of fine Montrachet run through this wine. The palate is bright and finely textured, with glowing flavors of citrus zest, green apple, and a touch of ripe pear. The finish is long, clean, and elegant, echoing with saline minerality and graceful acidity. A Chardonnay of quiet confidence and coastal clarity. Aged for 11 months, bottled unfiltered and unfined.
2022 Vintage Tasting Pack
We have created a 2022 vintage Tasting Pack available this spring, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Intrigue, Mayhem and Rendezvous. We only made five wines in 2022, so to fill out the 6-pack Donny suggested we let you select an additional bottle from the 2022 lineup. There is a space on the order form to do that, or feel free to call Donny to discuss!
We will ship out the wines as soon as we receive your order. If you prefer a specific shipping date, please let us know. We hope to see as many of you as we can this year, either at an event in your area, or if your travels bring you to Napa, let’s enjoy a glass of wine together.
