2006 Trespass Rendezvous
St. Helena, Napa Valley
In its second year of production, this is a complex red for lovers of Right Bank Bordeaux. The interaction of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc shimmers with excellent dark ruby color. The nose is vivacious with aromatics from the Cabernet Franc coming through first of rhubarb, cinnamon, clove vanilla and undertones of pine forest and white pepper.
The aromatics consistently build in divine harmony with added time in the glass. This stylish wine has a wonderfully large palate of black cherry and spice for a Cab Franc / Merlot dominated blend.
