2007 Trespass Rendezvous
St. Helena, Napa Valley

What I enjoy so much about this wine is how it showcases the best parts of the estate vineyard every year.  In its third vintage of being produced, this is a blend that gathers it’s foundation from the classic wines of Bordeaux’s infamous “Right Bank.”

True to the Trespass Vineyard, the aromatics show incredibly bright notes of sweet cherries, vanilla candle, cassis and incense.  It’s all in there!  With silky tannins, a lively palate joins in.  Balance and harmony are watchwords from beginning to end.  There are hidden details in the palate that with air and time, unveil flavors of Christmas cake, black currant, and barrel roast.  The finish is soft and sophisticated.  This wine should drink well for a decade or more.
