2014 Trespass INTRIGUE
Simply stated, gobs and gobs of fruit! Stone fruit, dried cherry and plum fill the glass. The amount of fruit flavors and the nose of this year’s Intrigue are both incredibly abundant! The aromas are huge and play fully on the nose, finishing with layers of toasted French oak, coffee, olives and herbs. The transition over the palate shows weightiness upon entry which unfolds into layers of black fruits, plum and herbs. There are bright acid and nicely structured tannins from the Merlot. The wine finishes with a flash and taste of espresso. This will undoubtedly age beautifully in the cellar and last well to 2029 or longer. Bottled unfiltered and unfined, this vintage of Intrigue is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
